One last post about Local Quilt Shops. Where else can you get all the fun events and workshops/classes/speakers?
If you are lucky enough to have a active quilt guild, then you have this, but so many are not in a guild and a local quilt shop brings that to them.
We have events monthly - sometimes more, demos all the time - sure I can help you with that zipper.
Though we do not have classes currently - we are working on this for on-line, it may happen in the future in-store again. Those classes are very helpful - check out your local shop and see what they have available. It would be helpful if you purchase the supplies from the shop who is giving the class. (you know - support local)
Talks or Speakers are wonderful - you don't have to commit to buying supplies - most of the time, the talks are free. You learn something about sewing or a product that may change your life (stripology - omg - my favority) and yes, as owners, we get to see demos at Market.
Hopefully this month, you understand the importance of your local shop and have shopped one or two.
For those that don't have a local shop (too rural), let me know how to make your on-line shopping experience more local for you!
